Love the idea that the end is where we start from. Set a version of this exercise for homework once to a adult class in a community centre. Students could choose any book they liked and carry on from where it ended. Added twist-they didn't tell what book they had chosen until after they had read aloud...Produced a lot of interesting work but my face was a picture when I very slowly started to recognise the characters described. I kept thinking I know this book, I know it. And, of course, I did. It was mine.
